Cholesterol in the Human Body
The life of cholesterol starts in the liver or by food you intake. After that it is sent to the blood stream where it latches onto cells and floats around. Here it can do a number of different things:
-Strengthen cell membranes
-be sent off to other organs, like the intestine, and tissues to compose bile salts to break down fats easier.
Even though cholesterol is made in the body you can get cholesterol from foods mainly meats and dairy. How ever much cholesterol you intake, the liver will make the appropriate amount of cholesterol to balance it off.
